Graduating from a secondary school is a momentous step for many students, and that’s where an alumni association comes in.
Once students’ complete matriculation and leave school, it’s easy for them to become disconnected from the institution while they focus on their career.
Alumni as, alumni associations and their dedicated alumni lovers can help these individuals to remain a part of their alumni association long after leaving association aims to strengthen the relationship between students and their educational institutions. They can open doors for alumni by helping them to expand their professional network. Here at Alumni, we recognise the importance of these supportive and mutually beneficial relationships.
Thanks to our Patron in Chief and Chairman Husein Ebrahim Foundation School, invaluable experience working with educational institutions to create this platform, we’ve seen first-hand the many benefits of forming an alumni association.
However, formation of HEF School Alumni Association (HEFSAA) was initiated by a team of senior Students of HEF School M/s Tayyab Moosani, A. Ghaffar Mamdani, Hashim Yousuf, Iqbal Saleh Mohammed, Usman Ghani Master, Jawed Akhtar in 1978 and subsequently in 1991 but could not materialize the association. They continued their efforts to create & introduce a platform for old students of HEF School where they could meet & greet and recall memories of school time together at various occasions.
Finally, the group of senior Alumni succeeded to establish HEF School Alumni in March 2022 which commenced with little number (just 22) of Ex. Students that started growing day by day and on first Grand Dinner held in Dec 2022 number of HEF School Alumni members reached almost 400. On the occasion of second Grand Dinner in Dec 2023, the quantity of alumni raised to 700 and today while launching website at third Grand Dinner in Dec 2024, the number of Ex Students increased to almost 900 from Pakistan and various part of the globe. Having come to know, that more than five thousand students have passed out matriculation from HEF School during last five decades, it is expected that HEFSAA will succeed to register in near future at least 50% of the total matriculated students to join HEFSAA. Hopefully the number of alumni will keep on increasing day by day.
Patron in Chief of HEF School Alumni and Chairman Husein Ebrahim Foundation Respected Aziz Latif Jamal, recognized & appreciated selfless efforts of Tayyab Moosani, Convener and Jawed Akhtar, Deputy Convener and showed keenness & affection with HEFSAA by hosting first Grand Dinner in the honour of first registered batch of ex. students, almost 400 male & female members in December 2022.
Obviously, the purpose of an alumni association is to foster a spirit of loyalty and to promote the general welfare of our organization. Alumni associations exist to support the parent organization’s goals, and to strengthen the ties between alumni, the community, and the parent organization.
